You bounce into 2012 on a total high, rubbing your hands and looking around to see where you can get cracking.  Harness your charm and you can make huge strides in your career and get the pay rises to boot.  From  February onwards, friends you haven’t seen for ages or who have been busy with their own lives reappear, so expect a lot of late nights and good times  There are a few annoying delays whilst you get called back to tweak a few work related things up until April but then things get hectic around the work front until July. Keep an eye out for a Sagittarius that you’re in synch with as you make an unbeatable team and what you create could be a real money spinner.   In terms of matters of the heart, there’s also a pull from the past in terms of love around May or June.  That could mean the sudden reappearance of an ex.  Equally it may be that something that happens stirs up some really powerful feelings that come from a much earlier experience.  When the past shows up in the present, it’s usually an opportunity to finally resolve something and move on.  As the summer promises loads of passion and fun, it looks like you succeed.  There’s no need to tell you that it’s okay for you to make the first move if the mood strikes you.  If you hit any road blocks to romance of any kind, either they will melt or you can move through them in October. As far as your career goes, it’s a bit of a slow and sleepy start to 2012.  Nothing’s amiss, it’s just that you’re feeling a little fuzzy and probably quite grateful to ease into the year.  Things clear in February and you’re off.  Letting go of any past hurts or resentments around one particular friendship around that time too will actually shift something huge in you.  Then, throughout the year, you’ll draw in a whole new crowd of creative people who encourage you to express your own talents.  As far as love goes, someone with a fiery, adventurous nature finds you irresistible; in all likelihood a Sagittarian.  Back to your career, towards May or June someone else might be hot on your heels, chasing the same ambitions as you, but stay in your power and you’ll see them shrinking in your rear view mirror after June. Your job for 2012 is to fall in love with you.  That’s the kind of throwaway statement we make, but think about what it means and how you would behave if you truly did love yourself as you prepare for the year’s start.  It’s the basis of all of your relationships and to a huge extent determines your ability to create the life you want.  It will definitely have a big impact on the degree to which you can make your own dreams come true from February onwards, so no second guessing yourself.  Along with all of this, you’re looking back at the past but painting it in rosy colours until April, when you turn firmly to the present.  You might not be feeling abundant as the year starts but others want to help and windfalls are on their way around June.  Other than that, if it’s romance you’re after, you’ll get it with someone who feels like your intellectual equal and who appears from April to July.  You may very well feel swept away by it all, but if you need to make a decision around June, logic will win.  Around July you’re surrounded by love and support and friends feel like family.  Enjoy it, because by October you’ll be wanting to use that comfort zone as a base from which to strike out and conquer the world.

I always say that our most profound soul lessons are taught through our relationships and this is particularly true for you throughout all of 2012. You might feel like pinching yourself around April to July.  It’s likely to deliver one of those experiences that feels hugely important even as it’s happening.  As far as work goes, you could be feeling a bit tender until July and shrink from any criticism.  You could even be toying with the idea of going it alone or setting up something yourself, but ironically you will make the most progress from things that happen out of the blue that you couldn’t possibly plan for or make happen.  It’s all about getting into your zone and attracting synchronicities as a result.  That should see the money start rolling in around June and by July and August you’re clapping your hands and even possibly planning a few treats for an abundant September.  Passion kicks in and overwhelms you in the nicest possible way from August onwards, but you are definitely in charge. Your friends are close at hand throughout the year, cheering you on and sharing the good times but watch that things don’t get serious there around October.  Overall, embrace your own emotions and allow them to lead you on in your soul’s journey, cherish your friends and enjoy the passion that romance delivers and transform any wobbly start to a spectacular finish on the work front.  Don’t forget to stash some of that well earned cash away too.

As 2012 kicks in, stay on your toes for loads of lucky breaks and opportunities around work.  Usually, you’re a go it alone person, but make it a priority to hunt down mentors who you’ll find surprisingly willing to take you under their wing.  Pick yours wisely and go for the ones who have achieved success in the way that you want it, perhaps those who are at the top of their game but who are also well rounded people with balanced lives to boot.  Friends are a source of support and love early on, but you’ll feel like pulling back from any politicking that starts up around May.  The eclipse that happens around then and the one that happens in November will connect you with new people who are much more on your wavelength.  As far as your relationships are concerned, you want to shower everyone around you with love in January, but in February you’re tussling with questions about what trust actually means, and what it takes to get truly close.  You’re undertaking a personal journey with this in mind that lasts up until Autumn when you’re less introspective and back on bouncing form.  Throughout the year, getting clever at money management reaps the biggest financial rewards.

Let’s get right to the heart of the year straight off.  Simply put, your biggest challenge throughout 2012 is your own shadow, which can tempt you into skulduggery if you don’t keep an eye and ear on the distortions it can throw up.  If you haven’t done so yet, do go and watch my Inspire Your Soul special on Scorpios. Deep down, you’re as vulnerable as anyone else. You also see deeper than any other sign.  These are fabulous qualities but with you they can translate into an obsession with power, which is really all about you trying to find safety in the world.  In part, your soul’s journey involves moving beyond that fear and obsession and – dare I say it, learning to open up and even trust.  In particular, this year the planets are warning you that indulge and you’ll get caught out.  It all begins as the year starts, when you’re drawn towards causing a bit of romantic mayhem.  It looks like your best friend is a Virgo and it might be wise if you listen to their counsel.  If you do decide to get embroiled in anything that has to remain secret, be careful because you’ll be outed after June.  Then the focus falls on your career, and your moment arrives in July and August.  You’ve worked for it and you deserve it, but you still might feel like running away from the spotlight.  New starts come through existing contacts, so if you want to make a change around then, put the feelers out.  It’s really important that you act with integrity around August too as this is the time when any work related underhand dealings come to light and leave you blushing.  If you’ve ever sacrificed yourself on the altar of romance, you decide to bust that pattern around October and quietly insist on being treated with respect.  From there, you can attract the relationship you deserve.  As far as money goes, if you allow yourself to get obsessed with power and control you’ll end up in unnecessary struggles and feeling hard done by rather than rolling in abundance.  Perhaps the chance to go into some kind of partnership around June is what’s bringing all this to the surface is your fear of being vulnerable in any way.  Be careful, by all means, go over the small print but get on it and have it all in place by October.  Expect or look around for a cash injection that has a link to the past around then too.  As a Scorpio, it’s also part of your archetypal DNA to make periodic trips to the underworld and that could leave friends scratching their heads as you do one of your famous disappearing acts, but you’re back in style from November onwards.  So overall, it’s a year in which you are being given the opportunity to apply your capacity for depth in ruthlessly confronting what lurks in your shadow, so that you can transform it and become enlightened.  If you do that, you can become what I call a Warrior of Love, rather than an expert at power plays and manipulation.  You’ve got the courage, so embrace it.  You can do it and the prizes are there.
